Tall, short lived perennial with clusters of tiny lilac-purple flowers throughout summer on stems up to 1.8m tall. Seeds freely and is excellent at attracting bees and butterflies into the garden. Does best in free draining, fertile soil in sun or light shade. Try mixing with late flowering grasses such as miscanthus.
