Distinctive ribbed glossy golden orange fruits resembling perfect miniature pumpkins, which remain throughout autumn and into winter, and are great Halloween decorations. Flowering group 4 in April. Semi double white blossom from pink buds is very popular with bees and especially good as a pollinator for all apple trees. Self fertile producing lots of crab apples even on its own, loved by birds and ideal for crab apple jelly. A very versatile small tree which can take any aspect and any soil as long as it is not waterlogged. Height and spread to around 4m x 3m but can be kept small and even grown in large containers.
