Broad glaucous green strap like leaves with attractive linear brown markings. One of the earliest tulips to flower. Red petals with white margins open to star shaped flowers with black and yellow centres. Naturalises well. Height to around 25cm. Any fertile but well drained soil in sun or light shade.
