Probably the hardiest of the Aloes and able to be grown as a garden plant through much of the Uk. Free draining soil in sun. Scrambling stems holding rosettes of pointed, lanceolate,  fleshy green leaves. In summer showy spikes of yellow flowers appear similar in appearance to Kniphofia. Height and spread to around 50cm. A must have for a sunny gravel garden.
