Makes a beautiful specimen tree. Clusters of red pollen flowers and embryonic cones are most attractive in spring. Bright golden new growth tips cover the whole tree in May and June  that slowly fades to a deep green as the summer progresses. Lots of cones up to 6ins long adorn the branches from mid-summer. Any fertile soil in sun or part shade. Height and spread to around 10-15m x 4-6m. Very special!
