New growth is orange/red in colour and matures to a deep green. In late Autumn and winter the foliage turns to a deep plum/burgundy colour. A superb evergreen with a height and spread to around 1m. Prefers sun or light shade and is tolerant of most soil types. Easy and hardy. It makes a great low evergreen hedge. Plant in an area protected from cold winter winds.
