A beautiful form of climbing hydrangea for a shady wall. It is self clinging, requires no pruning and bears dusky red lacecap flowers in summer which fade to pink and cream. Followed by the normal butter yellow autumn colour of H. peteolaris. If allowed it can grow as much as 12m high and 4m spread. Can be kept in check to cover much smaller walls. Any moist fertile soil except chalk.
