Introduced in (2012) this large deciduous shrub up to 4m tall over time has chocolate coloured felty leaves in spring that turn green with age. Over a long period through summer it bears large lacecap flower heads with a violet-blue heart surrounded by pink florets. Great for adding colour to the garden in borders, as a specimen or in large pots. Easy and resilient.
