Unusual species hybrid thought to be a cross between P. fulgidum and P. lobatum. Tuberous plant with downy grey/green, deeply cut, soft leaves. Flowers are deep red with unusual black markings on the centre of each petal and held in sprays above the foliage. Height and spread to around 40cm.
