Night phlox. A delightful little alpine that requires sharply drained soil in a sunny site and may need protection in the winter against excessive wet and cold. Forms a hummock of dark green foliage with long tubed flowers that open at night revealing white flowers with a bright orange eye, pollinated by moths. Sweetly scented. An absolute charmer and well worth the effort!
