Superb new variety resulting from a cross between A schubertii and A atropurpureum. Flowers for much longer than many alliums with star shaped dark purple flowers that form dome shaped heads in early summer. Bright green leaves die back before the flowers appear. Height 60cm, spread 20cm. Beautiful when interplanted with camassias and grasses in a gravel garden.
