A splendid new species introduced from Sichuan in China as recently as 1992 (SICH 1162) and named at Ness Botanic Garden as a new species. The charm of this tree is in the delicate pale olive foliage and contrasting pale pink fruit which at first are accompanied by the rich red autumn tints in the foliage and then hang on the leafless branches untouched by birds for much of the winter. Height and spread to around 10m x 6m.
