One of the hardiest exotic ginger lilys for growing in the Uk. Plant in humus rich but well drained soil and give a deep mulch in Autumn to give extra warmth to the tuber in winter. Alternate, sword shaped, grey green leaves are a welcome addition to a jungle themed garden and in late summer these are topped with spidery, red/orange flowers up to 2m tall. Impressive!
