Best in a sheltered site in dappled shade the Chilean mitre flower is an unusual scrambling shrub to around 2m. It has deep green glossy leaves that make a perfect backdrop to the bright orange/red lozenge shaped flower buds that open to tubular flowers over a long period through summer. Prune and feed in spring to prevent the plant getting leggy. Hardy to -5C. Advisable to wrap in fleece for winter.
