A select form of giant Eryngium found at the Chelsea Physic Garden. Lots of long thin evergreen leaves with toothed spikey edges to 1.2m in upright rosettes. Typical thistly Eryngium flower spikes silver green at first maturing to a deep purple, burgundy colour. A rare plant from South America. Height and spread to around 2.5m x 1.5.
