Hirsute, ovate long green leaves upto 40cm from a sturdy trunk. In its second year it shoots up an enormous flower spike that can reach 3m++ covered in thousands of blue flowers beloved by bees. Needs very free draining soil in a very sheltered sunny spot. Can be grown in a large deep pot.
