Nettle tree. A large, handsome deciduous tree with smooth grey bark when young that turns rough and fissured as the tree matures. Serrated green, nettle like leaves and small inconspicuous flowers followed by cherry like, edible yellow brown fruits popular with wildlife. Height and spread to around 25m x 10-15m. Salt and heat tolerant and grows on most soils especially capable of growing on poorer soils.
