This variety of Elm introduced to the UK in 2008 has shown high resistance to Dutch Elm disease. Also host to the rare UK native White-letter Hairstreak butterfly. The planting of selected Elm hybrids has helped the butterfly to recover in recent years. This is a worthy tree to add to the British countryside. Tolerant of a wide range of conditions but prefers moist, well drained soils in full sun. Oval shape wit a height and spread to around 12m x 8m.
