Grows to form an unusual and very attractive specimen tree (often multi-stemmed)with herringbone arranged branches clothed in toothed dark green, crinkle edged leaves that turn yellow in autumn. Attractive, cracked corky grey bark as the tree ages. Height and spread to around 20m x 10m. Any fertile soil in sun or part shade.
