Rock or pebble plant. An unusual succulent for sharply drained soil in sun or part shade. Height and spread to around 10cm. Thick, fleshy leaves resembling a split rock or pebble are in one or more opposite pairs. Slow growing and in late summer short flower stems grow from the crack in the leaves and have large coconut scented daisy like burnt tangerine coloured flowers. Makes a curious house plant for a sunny windowsill or terranium. Can be grown outside in rockery situations but must be kept frost free and relatively dry through winter.
