Mounds of large, mid green leaves form rounded clumps from which stiff, wiry stems hold hot orange/red spires of flowers in summer that move gracefully in the wind. Can be used to great effect when planted in drifts. Height and spread to around 80cm. Happy in most soils in sun to part shade.
