Xanthoceras sorbifolium (5lt)

Overview

Yellowhorn or Chinese chestnut. Feathery deep green foliage forms a large shrub or small tree. Erect panicles of white flowers with deep red centres, followed by walnut like fruits containing chestnut like nuts. Needs shelter from winter winds. Height and spread slowly to around 6m x 2m. Rare.
