New to the Magnolia world this variety has striking blue buds in May that open to yellow flowers. Hardy and tolerant of alkaline soils Blue Opal makes a magnificent specimen with a mature height and spread to around 12m x 7m. Best in fertile, well drained soil in sun or light shade.
