Similar to crassifolia with more knobbly leaves and slower growth. Dark brown, leathery, knobbly lanceolate leaves that point downwards and can be 30cm long. Slow to grow and needs a very sheltered spot in well drained soil in sun, or a cool conservatory. An amazing sight at all stages of growth. Half hardy. Unlikely to get taller than 6m in UK.
